# Group Quiz Overview

FanHQ26's **World Cup 2026 Group Quiz** (/quiz) is a free 60-second timed challenge where fans pick a group from A–L and try to name all four teams before the clock runs out. The tool ships with broad alias matching so casual fans can type "Korea", "Czechia", "Cabo Verde" or "USA" and still count as correct.

## How It Works

Tapping a group letter starts a **60-second countdown**. Fans type team names into a single input; on every keystroke the tool checks the typed string against the four group members plus their accepted aliases. Matches lock in instantly — no Enter required — and the input clears for the next pick. Late entries auto-finish the round when the timer hits zero.

## Alias Matching

The matcher normalises strings (NFD-decompose, strip diacritics, lowercase, alphanumeric-only) and accepts common alternatives. Examples: **USA / US / America / United States** for the United States; **Korea / South Korea / SKorea / ROK** for South Korea; **Czechia / Czech Republic / CZE** for Czechia; **Cape Verde / Cabo Verde / CV** for Cabo Verde; **NZ / New Zealand**, **KSA / Saudi**, **RSA / SAfrica** for South Africa, **DRC / DR Congo**, and similar shortcuts.

## Sharing

A result card unlocks at the end with your score (e.g. **"4/4 in 22 seconds — name your group!"**) and WhatsApp, X, Facebook, Telegram, LinkedIn, and Copy share buttons. Pasting the share into a chat with the timer screenshot makes for a viral side-bet.
